Low cost cameras usually have a lot of pixelated white noise and blur when it is dark. After a few months, some of the LEDs burned out causing the image to be dark at night. This will cause the recorded video to be badly distorted. During playback, you are not able to identify the criminal face which makes all visual evidence to become useless.
Missed important incident at a critical location
When you have a lot of cameras, it will be more difficult for you to focus on a critical location. When you playback to verify a suspicious incident, you will not be able to see what is continuing happening in the live view. The intruder might be already at your neck while you are still watching the playback.
